Our mission is to provide dignity, respect and choice to persons with intellectual disabilities through our three living skills programs: Independent Living, Supported Living and Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) licensed residential group homes.
We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fulfill two management positions in our community based living skills programs:
PROGRAM SUPERVISOR: INDEPENDENT LIVING SERVICES (ILS)
The qualified candidate is responsible for the management of a caseload of 25 clients being served in our community based ILS program and the direct supervision of 8-10 Instructors. A bachelor’s degree in a human services field, social work or psychology is preferred. Proven experience in lieu of education will be considered.
QUALIFIED INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES PROFESSIONAL (QIDP):
The qualified candidate is responsible for integrating, coordinating and monitoring the active treatment process for a caseload of 12 clients being served in two of our licensed ICF-DD/H group homes and direct supervision of 12-14 Direct Support Professionals. Prior experience with managing active treatment is required. All QIDP applicants must meet the United States education equivalency requirements and be cleared by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) as follows:
(a) At least one year of experience working directly with persons with intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities.
(b) A human services professional possessing at least a bachelor’s degree in a human services field, including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling or psychology, or is either a physician and surgeon, or an osteopathy physician and surgeon, or a registered nurse.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Seasoned Case Management experience (Preferably with the D.D. population)
Prior management/supervisory experience at the program level and within a Non-profit organization
Experience and knowledge of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) System to include: Regional Centers, Title 22 and Title 17 California Code ofRegulations, California Department of Public Health (CDPH) – Licensing and Certification
Proven experience and knowledge with managing client specific benefits: Social Security, Medi-Cal, Medicare, IHSS
Experience with being on-call and the ability to manage staffing/scheduling needs after-hours and on weekends
Ability to adapt to change, multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education/experience specific to each position
DOJ criminal clearance, Pre-Employment Physical, TB Test, Valid CA Driver’s License, Social Security Card and Proof of Vehicle Insurance
