Thriving scientific society is seeking a Programs & Outreach Coordinator. The Coordinator is responsible for managing the Summer Course grant program, working with Society committees composed of volunteers, writing and submitting associated grant applications, coordinating committee-related outreach programs, and working with social media team. Coordinating the Summer Course includes marketing the course; handling the recruitment and application process; submitting required grant reports; communicating continuously with organizers and students; and overseeing the program’s finances. Committee work includes coordinating their initiatives, programs, and grant applications; preparing agendas; scheduling conference calls and meetings; taking minutes; and writing about initiatives for Society publications. Other duties as assigned. Must have excellent writing skills and initiative; be a team player; comfortable communicating with a wide range of people via phone, e-mail, social media, and in person; have strong organizational skills; able to multitask; and superb attention to details and deadlines. 2+ years’ experience in non-profit association preferred.
