Reporting to the Project Manager and grantee team (Associate ED, Director of Training & TA), the Project Assistant for Training & Technical Assistance performs day-to-day responsibilities as tied to training and technical assistance through the Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women, Clery Center programs (prevention education programs, National Campus Safety Awareness Month), and other special programs. The Project Director is responsible for the day-to-day activities related to convene focus groups, roundtable discussions, regional and national meetings on sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking on campus. Conference planning includes the Technical Assistance Management System, host webinars, focus groups; on-site regional/national trainings and assist Program Coordinator with the Logistical Planning and Data Management.
The Program Assistant must excel at technological support using Clery Center’s database, website, and other systems. The position requires excellent project management skills, interpersonal skills, and occasional travel to on-site technical assistance events. The person in this role must be incredibly organized with an attention to detail.
Roles & Responsibilities
Take direction from Project Manager to plan training events and other meetings
Assist with data entry and coordination of information specific to training events and other Clery Center programs
Ability to coordinate with a team of grantees from other non-profit organizations
Deals with direct inquiries about the Campus training institutes and roundtables
Assist Programs department with data entry surrounding programs for National Campus Safety Awareness Month (NCSAM)
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience required.
Proficiency in social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) preferred.
Salesforce experience a plus or willingness to learn the database
Clear and effective communication skills, written and verbal.
Superior attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent interpersonal/relationship skills with people of diverse opinion and background.
