East LA Community Corporation is seeking a Project Manager.
The Project Manager will work in a team environment within ELACC’s Real Estate Department. Under the supervision of the Director of Real Estate Development, the Project Manager will assist in identifying properties available for development within ELACC’s service area—Boyle Heights and unincorporated East Los Angeles. The Project Manager will coordinate all aspects of pre-development: acquisition, applying for and securing financing, entitlement, and construction oversight activities for assigned developments, share in asset management, internal organizational committees, and other aspects of administration and governance typical within a non-profit organization. The Project Manager will also represent ELACC, as assigned, to outside organizations and public input forums as appropriate for an organization active within the broad community. This position reports to the Director of Real Estate.
Qualifications:
Minimum four years of experience in Affordable Housing Real Estate Development
Minimum of one affordable housing project in which applicant was involved throughout acquisition, predevelopment, financing, construction and lease-up
Strategic and innovative thinker
Demonstrated ability to work independently, and as part of a team
Demonstrated knowledge and success in working with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program
Demonstrated knowledge of construction process
Demonstrated knowledge and success in working with local agency funding sources (Los Angeles City and County)
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
Extremely organized and able to multi-task
Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office; must be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, Internet and Research Skills.
Compensation:
Compensation is commensurate with experience DOE
This is a full-time exempt position with a good benefits package including health, dental, life and disability insurance.
