JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a full-time position that reports to the Executive Director and is a part of the management team at WCIL. The Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager (QACM) is responsible for ensuring that WCIL is compliant with the demands placed by its funders in terms of data collection and analysis. The QACM does this by monitoring and implementing WCIL’s databases (NetCIL, Abila, and others as needed), ensuring that WCIL through its staff are providing the highest quality documentation in the databases. Additional duties include managing multiple grants, participate in the development and implementation of the agency’s long-term strategic plan and program goals, and provide technical assistance to staff when presented with technology challenges. This position requires having the ability to communicate in an effective, polite and professional manner with individuals of various cognitive and communication abilities, as well as having the ability to maintain good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
This position works under general supervision, working alone on routine or regular work assignments and reporting to the Executive Director on non-routine assignments or when in doubt as to the correct procedures to follow. This position will provide general supervision to individual WCIL staff members and WCIL units in regard to data collection, entry and documentation.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (Illustrative Only)
• Monitor data collection and entry for multiple agency programs and staff.
• Collect, analyze and manage large data sets for funding sources and monitor data base systems weekly.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc compliance reports from information in WCIL database systems.
• In accordance with the grant requirements work with staff to submit regular reports for AB 204 and Title 7C funding sources.
• Act as an effective group leader and maintain a good working relationship with staff.
• Attend trainings, workshops, and conferences as applicable.
• Work positively with staff to enhance program delivery and services and troubleshoot issues with software and devices.
• Support the management team on grant cycles for current, existing and prospective funding sources.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:

• Able to independently troubleshoot issues with computers and/or software.
• Understand the sensitivity to the needs of persons with disabilities and diverse populations.
• Be self-motivated with good verbal, written and organizational skills.
• Provide leadership in resolving problem situations and technical issues.
• Travel to meetings, trainings and satellite offices.
• Successfully relate to and communicate with people with disabilities and their families.
• Read and understand rules, policies and procedures.
• Use good judgment, discretion, and maintain confidentiality.
• Identify, facilitate and provide staff training.
• Work well under pressure.
• Carry out all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• B.A., B.S. degree or equivalent -or- four years work experience in quality assurance and compliance and significant experience with disability issues.
• Experience with database systems with the ability to craft queries, generate reports and interpret data.
• Five years experience working in the social services sector, preferably in a nonprofit agency working with people with disabilities or related services.
• Knowledge and understanding of the concepts of the Independent Living philosophy.
• Self-motivated with good verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Experience working with people with disabilities is strongly desirable.
