The primary function of the Resident Services Manager (RSM) at Island Walk and West Wood Oaks is to facilitate the development of a robust and engaged “network” of residents, staff, partners, and community members to collectively create a strong, vibrant community. The RSM’s role is to build the capacity of “network” members, increase resident-led activities, coordinate collective problem solving and coordinate services to residents (when necessary) designed to promote CPDC program and partner resources to the community and the residents. The RSM provides residents with information about and supportive access to local services and resources that can assist residents in achieving their objectives. The RSM is responsible for supervising program staff, contractors, volunteer members and interns, managing a budget, planning events, and performing a variety of other tasks. Unique to the position at Island Walk and West Wood Oaks, the RSM will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with a large grant award that provides funding of the After School Program at Island Walk. The individual in this role works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. This position reports to the Regional Resident Services Manager.
Essential Job Functions
Develop positive, professional, working relationships with the property’s residents, the property management staff, partner organizations and contractors
Help residents facilitate social activities and community organizing activities
Enter all documentation in CPDC’s Efforts to Outcome Database (ETO)
Disseminate information about resident services to residents
Select, develop, and maintain referral partnerships with local partner resources, manage enrollment and performance data
Establish communication policies and procedures with asset and property management
Develop resident services work plan and budget with Regional Resident Services Manager
Review reporting data to evaluate resident services and decide whether to change programs and/or services periodically
Monitor progress towards grant outcomes, submit quarterly grant-related reports and participate in funder meetings
Work with the Director of Development on grant proposal submissions and ideas
Coordinate with property management to ensure that families are successful tenants

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in the field of human services, plus a minimum of two years of experience working with people of low income; or a minimum of three years of documented, successful experience in community development or community organizing activities
A working knowledge of the local social service system or the ability to quickly develop such knowledge
Ability to identify, assess, select, develop and maintain community service referral partnerships that assist residents in achieving their goals
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Competent computer and technology skills.
