Everytown for Gun Safety is hiring a Senior Digital Campaigner in our New York City office to serve as strategist and writer for our legislative, organizing and fundraising email campaigns. Reports to Digital Campaigns Director.
Responsibilities
Develop digital national campaign plans and tactics to achieve fundraising or organizing goals.
Represent digital department and consult on digital strategy with interdisciplinary state or electoral teams — including advertising, social media, email, SMS, and microsites.
Manage and execute all national email campaigns and related processes; write, edit and set up grassroots emails and collateral for mass mailing.
Maintain email calendar and drive cohesive organizational narrative.
Track, report and analyze data for improving results.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience with demonstrated excellence in in digital organizing and fundraising.
Proven ability to write, copy edit and proofread in rapid response environment.
Expert at email campaigning strategy and tactics for disseminating messages, mobilizing supporters and fundraising.
Experience managing email programs and staff for campaigns or non-profits.
Exceptional and creative writer (always under deadline and on message).
Degree in Journalism, English, Political Science or related field is a plus.
Experience constructing and troubleshooting HTML emails, landing pages, and using mass mailer software (bonus if ActionKit).
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, campaign-like environment with unpredictable hours.
