Greenwich House, a well-established multi-service Greenwich Village based not-for profit, seeks a Senior Director to oversee and manage its Senior Center Services, which include four senior centers and one off-site social services program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervising Center Directors, social workers and other staff
Ensuring compliance with all NYC guidelines
Assisting in the development and management of program budgets
Providing regular written and verbal reports on the centers’ operation
Providing oversight and maintenance of all files, including fiscal and program records and reports
Recruiting, training and providing ongoing in-service training for staff and volunteers
Representing agency with community organizations
Acting as the primary contact on senior center services with funding sources
Establishing long-range goals for program to create vision and provide leadership
Qualifications:
Must have a LMSW, LCSW certification a plus
Knowledge of Gerontology required
Experience as an administrator of senior centers or related services
Experience in program development and evaluation
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills along with excellent leadership and team building skills
Must be computer literate, knowledge of MS Office such as Excel, Word and Outlook
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
The Senior Director is expected to play a pivotal role in the expansion of senior center and related services.
