DESCRIPTION
Las Fotos Project is a nonprofit photography and mentoring organization for teenage girls. Our new social enterprise program represents the natural evolution of Las Fotos Project’s model and will provide young women from underserved communities with an opportunity to utilize the creative vision and technical skills they’ve honed through our programs in a work-like setting. We will pair a cohort of female high school students, ages 15-18, with professional photographers who will serve as mentors and supervisors. Paid assignments could include: event photography, professional headshots, family portraits, celebrations, food photography, and marketing materials.
About Position:
The Program Manager is responsible for the overall development of our social enterprise program and implementation of established outcomes/goals. They will supervise students and mentors within the program, organize trainings, cultivate clients, and manage client relations. In addition, they will work to ensure delivery of the photography training curriculum and organize weekly class sessions. This position is responsible for advancing the creative direction of services offered, communicating with clients, and managing all aspects of the launch/expansion of our social enterprise activities. The Program Manager will report to the Executive Director.
Your Role:
Maintain relationships with students, mentors, businesses, and partners.
Train mentors and oversee the growth of our social enterprise program.
Ensure timely delivery of all internal documents and deliverables for clients.
Oversee the facilitation of weekly classes for students.
Supervise students during job assignments and oversee all mentors/junior mentors within program.
Ensure the program remains in compliance with organizational policies, grant agreement objectives, and long-term strategic plan goals.
Manage staff and/or interns assigned to the program.
Your Qualifications:
Media, communications, and/or management experience.
Social enterprise experience a plus.
Organized, punctual, and able to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize your work as well as manage time.
An individual with an entrepreneurial spirit who is innovative, flexible, persistent, and ambitious.
Must be comfortable working in a team environment.
Bilingual and/or bicultural a plus.
Excellent networking and communication skills (verbal and written).
Willingness to work some non-traditional hours and Saturdays as required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Design Suite, and photo editing software.
Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Job Type: Part-time consultant (20 hours a week average) occasional Saturdays
