InnVision Shelter Network seeks a VP of Human Resources to join our executive team. The VP of HR works with the leadership team to insure that IVSN attracts and retains leading talent to achieve our mission of returning homeless individuals and families to self-sufficiency and permanent housing,. The position reports directly to the CEO and is based in our Menlo Park, CA headquarters. The VP of HR and his/her team administer all aspects of employment for the organization’s 200+ employees working at 16 facilities across San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Responsibilities include:
Participate in the development of the organization’s plans and programs as a strategic partner, particularly from the perspective of the impact on employees.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s human resource function and performance.
Direct and oversee the employment process for the organization. This includes working with hiring managers to develop and implement appropriate recruiting and selection strategies and tactics, and hiring strong performers.
Develop and maintain appropriate compensation guidelines.
Manage the employee benefits program. This includes making sure all offerings are competitive and cost effective and of value to employees.
Conduct full cycle performance review process. Recommend, develop and implement Human Resources policies.
Ensure compliance with all EEO, employment, benefits, and wage-hour laws.
Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to managers and leaders on people hiring skills, management and leadership skills and strategies (as appropriate) such as setting clear performance expectations, providing constructive feedback, recognizing positive results, taking correction action (where necessary) and linking compensation to performance.
Facilitate conflict resolution and handle employee relations issues. This includes working with managers to identify performance issues and develop and implement appropriate measures to provide employees the opportunity to succeed and to take corrective action where necessary.
Preferred QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Job Experience:
BA in business, Human Resources, or related field.
8+ years of experience in the field of Human Resources. Prior management experience preferred and non-profit experience a plus.
