Job Summary
The Video Production Manager is a self-starter who will create compelling video content for online and digital platforms including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and Tumblr. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about both human interest stories as well as breaking news and popular culture. The ideal candidate is also well-versed in the national LGBTQ conversation.
The position is full time and is based in the New York office with domestic travel required.
Responsibilities
• Creating videos from conception to production including but not limited to documentary-type projects, text-based video, and interviews.
• Reaching out to potential participants for videos including celebrities, publicists, and activists.
• Collaborating with a variety of teams to create compelling content reflective of GLAAD’s programmatic and development work.
• Analyzing trends across platforms and channels to determine the most effective methods of video distribution.
Qualifications
• 2-4 years creating and editing video content.
• Experience with cameras, audio, lighting, and editing software.
• Comfortable with being on camera from time to time.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Understanding of a variety of digital platforms including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and Tumblr.
Supervision
The Video Manager reports directly to the Associate Director of Communications.
Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience.
