Develop and coordinate support services at the Casa Quezada as they relate to psychosocial, dual diagnosis and medical care.
• Provide harm reduction counseling and psychosocial therapy to Casa Quezada residents through individual and group sessions.
• Provide training to all Casa Quezada staff and direct supervision to MNRC Bilingual Case Manager. Provides clinical consultation to support services staff.
• Evaluate social, emotional and physical needs of clients by applying social work theories.
• Help clients cope with the environmental and psychological issues of illness by explaining options and treatments as well as making appropriate referrals.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary health care teams to treat and plan for the psychosocial and medical needs of clients by consulting with other providers and making referrals.
• Develop and implement psychosocial treatment plans and records progress notes.
• Provide education and information to staff and clients regarding mental health and substance use issues and services.
• Conducts home/room visits when necessary to survey living situations of clients for accessibility and to determine the need for further services.
• Supervises and coordinates socialization activities for tenants.
• Prepares written reports and evaluations for placement into residential or inpatient services.
• Assists clients with basic needs services and resources such as housing, food, clothing, legal aid, and entitlements.
• Works with the Casa Quezada team in program development.

Qualifications
REQUIRED
• Possession of a current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners (BBSE) or registration as an Associate Psychiatric Social Worker intern with the BBSE required OR
• Possession of a current Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) license issued by the BBSE or registration as Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with the BBSE required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English.
DESIRED
• One (1) year experience working with people with severe mental illness through an intensive case management program, an inpatient psychiatric unit, and/or in a psychiatric emergency room.
• Must be willing to provide support, advocacy and develop relationships following harm reduction principles with a very diverse homeless population, including Spanish speaking immigrants, day laborers, women, LGBT, African Americans, active drugs users and people with mental illness and other disabilities.
• Ability to work with de-escalation techniques, conflict resolution and emergency response.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience as a service provider with a multidisciplinary health care team in a health care agency.
• Demonstrated work experience with people with substance abuse problems.
• Experience providing clinical supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings.
