Evaluation Coordinator – UCSF Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health – San Francisco, CA

The Evaluation Coordinator of the Kenneth J. Ryan Residency Training Program (Ryan Program) is responsible for maintaining all program evaluation and research activities for this rapidly growing training initiative. The Ryan Program is a privately funded, national training initiative based at UCSF that provides funding and technical expertise to academic medical centers with the goal of improving training in abortion and family planning for ob-gyn residents. Since 2003, the Ryan Program has implemented a comprehensive evaluation plan that includes multi-level survey research and key informant interviews. We require a dedicated research position filled by an individual with expertise in program evaluation and quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Requirements:

BA/BS with a major in public health, social science, or related field
One year of relevant work experience
Significant experience working or volunteering in an abortion clinic
Expertise in program evaluation methodology and experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methods
Experience with survey design and implementation
Experience in data analysis and statistical software programs, specifically STATA
Ability to work independently
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and timelines effectively
Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills
Ability to maintain a great degree of confidentiality due to the unique and sensitive nature of abortion and contraception research and clinical services
Intimate knowledge of MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree in public health, sociology, administration, policy, demography, or other related field
Experience working and corresponding with physicians, particularly ob-gyns, high level university officials, and administrators
Familiarity with graduate medical education (medical student, resident and fellowship)
Familiarity with the clinical aspects of abortion and contraception within various clinical settings
Experience working with Key Survey, or other online survey platforms
Interest in research related to abortion and family planning.
