Licensed Master’s Level Clinician (LICSW/LMHC), Juvenile Court Clinic, Middlesex County

Adolescent Consultation Services (ACS), a nonprofit agency serving the Middlesex County Juvenile Court, provides clinical evaluation, consultation, and treatment services to four Juvenile Courts throughout the county. ACS is seeking qualified applicants for a full timeposition for a Juvenile Court Clinician.

The master’s level staff clinician will provide comprehensive psychosocial evaluations of youth and families who are before the court on a variety of matters including Child Requiring Assistance (CRA) Applications, Delinquency Offenses, Care and Protections cases, substance abuse petitions, and emergency mental health screenings. The nature of the Clinic requires that clinicians conduct thorough assessments and complete well-written timely evaluations with recommendations, and present these findings to the Court. Other duties include cultivating relationships with agencies in the community who provide services to youth and families seen in the Clinic as well as working with other ACS Court Clinic team members in providing emergency evaluations.

The successful applicant must be an experienced clinician, preferably with forensic experience, capable of conducting thorough assessments of children, adolescents, and families in a Juvenile Court setting. Group treatment and administrative and supervisory experience are preferred. Familiarity with collateral agencies that provide services to youth and families is essential. Acute care setting experience and success working with multi-disciplinary treatment teams are required. Bilingual capacity in Spanish is an asset.

Successful candidates for the position must have finished their master’s degree from an accredited program in social work or mental health counseling and be licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Strong preference will be given to candidates who are presently CJCC I certified or are enrolled in the statewide CJCC I certification program. On-site supervision and mentoring is provided as needed.

Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling required. Licensed clinician, LMHC or LICSW, preferred.
