DESCRIPTION
Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. is one of the largest human services providers in California and operates 24 community centers and five homeless shelters, as well as a variety of programs serving the poor including: in-home services for homebound seniors; refugee resettlement; youth employment services; counseling; affordable before-and-after school care; immigration assistance; pre-school for low-income children; and temporary worker center. In addition, Catholic Charities oversees Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), which coordinates interscholastic athletics for the elementary schools of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
St. Margaret’s Center is seeking a bi-lingual, detail-oriented Licensed Psychological Services Site Supervisor to provide a high-level of counseling to the clients in the program.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide counseling, primarily to monolingual Spanish clients.
Directs psychology training program and related training programs for social work and other interns and trainees.
Prepares intakes, closing and progress reports on clients and maintains all paperwork at a professional level according to established guidelines.
Coordinates and supervises psychological services at a program site servicing a very diverse client population.
Assist in supervising graduate practicum students and interns from local universities.
Evaluate and assess clients and their families.
Make diagnostic assessments and sets appropriate treatment plans, goals and objectives with clients.
Train and supervises interns and trainees.
Coordinates clinical administration and operations for the site.
Provides crisis intervention and conflict resolution services.
Supervises, assigns, plans and evaluates work of professional and support staff.

Performs premarital assessment and counseling.
Displays sensitivity to the client population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree – Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
Licensed at least two years in order to provide supervision.
Organization, strong attention to detail, and effective follow through.
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
General knowledge of database, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Programs.
Excellent English and Spanish oral & written communication
