Emerge America is a candidate training program for Democratic women. The essential step for Democratic women who want to run for public office – Emerge is the only in-depth, seven-month training program that inspires women to run and gives them the tools to win. Currently operating in fourteen states, our mission is to increase the number of Democratic women in all levels of Public office. The Opportunity
We are seeking a self-motivated intern(s) to play an integral role with fundraising, event planning and communications.
Qualifications
Passionate about the advancement of women in politics
Comfortable with Microsoft Office
Familiar with general office operations
Professional and clear communication skills
Familiar with social media technologies
Responsibilities:
Fundraising
Learn to use NGP (Democratic campaign database) and related fundraising tools
Help with event planning, including our annual event and smaller salons
Support donor outreach and cultivation
Conduct prospect research
Communications
Help manage website content and updates
Develop and implement social media initiatives
Help with mass mailings via e-mail and traditional mail
Manage press lists and provide PR support
Filing and administrative work as needed
This position will require a commitment of 8 to 15 hours each week. Dates/hours can be flexible to accommodate a class schedule and we are happy to work with your school to help you earn college credit.
