Position Summary and Essential Functions:
The primary responsibilities of this position are to assist members of the Knowledge Sharing team in conducting quantitative and qualitative research on community development financial institutions (CDFI). The essential functions of the position are assisting with the following: implementation of online surveys and cleansing survey data; development of cleansing processes; the production of tables, charts, and figures for OFN publications; the production of OFN Member Peer Comparisons; responses to information requests from OFN staff as well as external parties; and research on topics requested by Knowledge Sharing team members.
Position Responsibilities
Coordinates the implementation of online surveys, including the annual OFN Member Survey
Coordinates cleansing of survey data by reviewing Members audited financial statements and tracking of survey responses as well as assists with developing data cleansing process.
Produces tables, charts and figures in conjunction with the VP, Knowledge Sharing for publishable reports including the annual Side by Side publication, OFN Member Peer Comparisons, Inside the Membership, , and annual Member reviews.
Responds independently to information requests from OFN staff as well as external parties.
Researches topics requested by Knowledge Sharing team members.
Performs other activities as requested by Knowledge Sharing team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or 5-7 years work experience; Master’s Degree a plus
Proficient with MS Office Products, with 3 years experience and advanced mastery of Excel required
1-3 years direct experience in quantitative research required; experience in qualitative research is highly beneficial
Experience with online survey software such as Survey Monkey, Qualtrics and/or similar software required
Experience with crosstabulation software is required; experience with Wincross is a plus
Experience or volunteer work in nonprofit or small office environment a plus
Strong knowledge of financial statements essential, understanding of non-profit financial institutions’ financial statements a plus.
Knowledge of and commitment to community development is highly beneficial; interest in learning about the community development finance field is required
Strong organizational skills, patience and attention to detail required
Strong analytical skills required
Strong written and verbal communication skills required Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work well with diverse constituents is required
Ability to work independently or in team environment is required
Ability to manage multiple tasks in effective and efficient manner required
Limited travel required (<10%)
No extraordinary physical requirements beyond ability to travel
Job involves normal physical requirements for an office position
