Organization:
The National Alliance to End Homelessness is a national nonprofit dedicated to ending homelessness in America. The Homelessness Research Institute (HRI), the research and education arm of the National Alliance to End Homelessness, is seeking a highly-motivated and detail-oriented Research Fellow.
Responsibilities:
Keep interactive maps up to date.
Write articles for our weekly newsletter and Ending Homelessness blog.
Create fact sheets and supplemental materials based on HRI reports and research projects.
Conduct literature searches and reviews on specific topics of interest to HRI staff.
Help research staff respond to inquiries.
Qualifications:
Currently seeking MA/MS
Strong writing and research skills.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively on multiple projects at once and meet deadlines.
Experience using online services (e.g. Google Maps/Visualizer) to build interactive maps and charts preferred. Some knowledge of housing and/or homelessness policy is a plus
Enthusiasm about working on the project of ending homelessness in the United States.
The Alliance makes efforts to give all interns the opportunity to have a varied learning experience and will attempt to give any research intern experiences with our policy and capacity building teams. The Research Intern will be a paid position at $10.50 per hour for a maximum of 35 hours per week.
