Labor Link, our flagship product, uses basic mobile phones to connect directly with factory workers through interactive voice response (IVR) surveys and broadcasts. Surveys are designed to measure working conditions, job satisfaction and worker needs, and track the effectiveness of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. In a few short years, Labor Link has reached over 200,000 farmers and workers in 15 countries, including Brazil, India, Bangladesh and China, giving respondents an anonymous channel and giving companies real-time data to drive better working conditions.

We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Business Development Manager to be the face of Labor Link with brands and retailers, suppliers, and supply chain intermediaries such asauditing firms and third-party certifiers. Working with our senior management team, global partners, and Fortune 500 companies, the Business Development Manager is a key member of our growing GWS team, and will possess a strong knowledge of supply chains and supply chain CSR. Our vision is to reach over a million workers in the next 3 years, and catalyze a shift in supply chain social responsibility from heavy reliance on social auditing to a toolbox approachwhere direct worker engagement via mobile is an essential tool for any company. This position will be integral to achieving this vision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be responsible to cultivate long-term relationships with key customers in order to scale Labor Link and establish it as the industry’s preferred tool for worker engagement. A fast-paced organization with a small staff, we are looking for a self-starter who can hit the ground running.

Working with the Executive Director and product team, you will define strategies and tactics necessary to effectively grow Labor Link, building and implementing roadmaps to grow with existing customers, and cultivating new prospects to reach a million workers in 3 years.

Develop and implement roadmaps for clients to grow from piloting in dozens of factories in a few countries to scale their Labor Link rollout to hundreds of factories globally
Proactively manage client pipeline to maximize growth opportunities with existing customers, geographic expansion, and customer satisfaction
Work with Labor Link product team and clients to remove any barriers to growth and build support across multiple business units of partner companies
Identify and develop, with product team, new service opportunities through new product development or extension of current products
Identify and cultivate prospect pipeline to leverage organic opportunities from events and referrals
Monitor and report key performance metrics, recommend necessary actions such as pricing adjustments to enhance revenue and profitability; evaluate customer satisfaction through regular surveys
Refine and implement sales tools, materials and processes that support cross selling and revenue goals
Cultivate thought leadership through speaking engagements, articles, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or similar discipline or equivalent work experience
5 years experience in customer relationship development
Command of business management processes, supply chains, and CSR
Outstanding communications skills
Proven success in managing and developing client relationships
Strong experience in new service, new product development to customer/market needs
Track record of driving results on new initiatives
Demonstrated interest in CSR and/or economic development preferred
