Sales / Donations Associate – InterConnection – Seattle, WA

Join InterConnection, a fast growing social enterprise nonprofit with a mission to bridge the digital divide.

Our team secures surplus computer and IT donations from Fortune 500 companies, refurbishes the equipment at our reuse center in Seattle and then makes the refurbished technology available to nonprofit organizations and low-income individuals. We are looking for an energetic and detail oriented person to take on the responsibility of (1) increasing surplus computer donations and (2) identifying technology needs of nonprofit organizations nationwide. There is lots of room to grow and our sales channels are at an early stage with plenty of opportunity for improvement.

Responsibilities

– Create lead lists based on management recommendations.

– Contact companies and nonprofits by phone and email.

– Help increase corporate donations by 25% compared to previous year.

– Help increase sales to nonprofits by 20% compared to previous year.

– Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate them in a clear and concise manner to manager.

– Take on new geographical markets based on recommendations from management.

– Schedule appointments and meetings to pitch services and product.

– Sell refurbished computers through assigned channels.

– Identify customer needs over the phone or in person

– Identify and contact international development organizations that have staff, volunteers or partners abroad that are in need of computers. (Such as Peace Corps and World Vision).

– Process and maintain accurate records and documentation in [[http:SalesForce.com|SalesForce.com]]

– Meet goals for outreach, follow up and sales revenue.

– Other related duties as assigned.

Experience

– Bachelor’s degree

– Fluent in English

– [[http:Salesforce.com|Salesforce.com]] experience is a plus

– Sales and marketing experience preferred

– Basic understanding of computers and hardware

– Microsoft Office Suite experience

Part-time: 40 hours

Hourly pay: $14+ DOE
