The Evaluation Associate supports our local and national Evaluation portfolio. School Readiness Consulting (SRC) approaches evaluation as a true partnership. Together with our clients, we shape, co-create and execute sound evaluation design. Through implementation and outcomes evaluation we help our clients to focus their resources on carefully chosen areas of inquiry, to apply new data, leverage new resources, and to inform real-time decision-making. The Evaluation Associate supports initiatives across our Evaluation team and works with School Readiness Consulting’s external partners, supports project and product development, implementation and communications work, and promotes School Readiness Consulting’s mission and growth.
The Evaluation Associate has the primary responsibility for supporting evaluation projects, including data analysis, writing and communicating findings in a variety of formats and for a variety of audiences, and project coordination. He/she is responsible for SRC’s social media strategy in the Evaluation area, and also supports SRC’s internal operations as part of an organization-wide associate team. The Evaluation Associate reports to the Evaluation Manager.
Role and Responsibilities
The Evaluation Associate:
Is immersed in the application of ECE evaluation and research.
Supports SRC’s project development, implementation and communications work, and promotes the organization’s mission and growth.
Is responsible for supporting the successful execution of the Evaluation portfolio.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
Supports the Evaluation Division
Supports SRC’s vision, ongoing development and execution for Evaluation across the organization, including supporting and coordinating local and national evaluation projects.
Serves as a support to leadership on Evaluation-based proposals and initiatives.
Conducts qualitative & quantitative data analysis, including cleaning data sets, preparing tables and charts, compiling trend data.
Participates in various trainings as available to attain certification and reliability for various evaluation assessment tools.
Conducts classroom observations, as assigned, using various assessment tools
Supports development of technical reports and presentations, such as preparing toplines, power point presentations, infographics, and classroom and school level reports for various program quality assessment tools.
Assists with recruitment, screening, interviewing, hiring and coordinating data collectors.
Assists with various project coordination tasks including: developing and maintaining schedules for evaluation projects, compiling contact lists, sending emails to schools/programs, maintaining positive client relations, mapping out steps in projects, meeting deadlines and deliverables, keeping colleagues and senior staff informed, archiving and record keeping, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Collaborates with colleagues on cross cutting activities, including proposal development, brand building, and thought leadership.
Supports evaluation design activities such as drafting questionnaires and protocols.
Participates on a team that attains its goals, by effectively working to meet objectives
Collaborates with the associate team to coordinate SRC’s social media strategy and contributes to social media and other communications efforts on behalf of the Evaluation division.
Supports the organization’s overall mission by participating in, and taking leadership when requested for team meetings, professional learning opportunities, retreats, and other organization-wide events.
Supports team members and colleagues through providing feedback, collaborating on work products and processes, and making contributions wherever possible to the overall growth and success of the team.

Has a working understanding of key players in the early childhood education landscape

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SPSS, or other data analysis software
Ability to execute sound decision making authority in alignment with School Readiness Consulting’s organizational mission
Creativity and a high degree of initiative to design and implement innovative solutions to complex challenges
Ability to complete work seamlessly and independently in order to make the broader team’s workload more manageable
Work Demands:
Eagerness to work in a start-up atmosphere where teammates continuously create solutions
Ability to transport packages up to 30 pounds
Ability to maintain regular office hours between 9am-5pm, M-F
Work from our Silver Spring, Maryland office and at client locations as assigned
